I have known about the Joshi MAP system for about five years now.  At first I was a little confused by their coding system of assessing clients.  However with a little more time and reading and just hearing the passion of these two homeopath doctors, I have realised it is a very useful methodology.

As homeopaths, we have learned the periodic table analysis of Jan Scholten.  The characteristics of the rows and columns and how they relate to our mineral remedies.  Dr Scholten’s plant theory also classifies the plants onto the periodic table characteristics.

There is a pattern, and there is a book by Dr Deborah Collins called ‘A Guide to the Plant Theory of Jan Scholten’.  What does this have to do with the MAP system?   The beauty of the MAP system is that it agrees with and builds on the Scholten periodic table themes, of minerals, plants. Now the animals, have been mapped out on the periodic table.  This is a fantastic resource for homeopaths.  It is refreshing for a system of finding a Simillimum which is not totally new but builds on an already discovered methodology.

How many failures have homeopaths had by repertorising accurately?  The repertory is an amazing tool, but actually it is easier to repertorise in retrospect of a cured case!  How many potential remedies can we use which are not in the repertory? Dr Masters gave a webinar to say how he has had to open his knowledge to these new remedies which are not even proven, or he would miss a lot of cases.

It would take many years to prove all the birds, mammals, reptiles, insects etc and include them in a repertory.  The MAP system takes care of this problem by the work Dr Bhawisha and Dr Shachindra Joshi have done.  They have an incredible classification of the animal world onto the periodic table.  Once you understand the row and column characteristics, you now have a choice of a mineral, animal or plant (M-A-P) remedy which could fit your client. You don’t have to understand every remedy and read a proving of every possible remedy in the world.  Once you understand where your client fits on the periodic table, you have a narrow list of either mineral, plant or animal remedy.  Most probably any of these could be the Simillimum and offer benefit.

The books on mammals, quick reference books and the most recent about birds, are fantastic reference books to show where the creature fits in to the periodic table.  We now have a lot more choices for our clients which are potentially able to heal more deeply.

I have referred some clients to Dr Shachindra by zoom.  He is a very focused listener and sums up the person’s character very accurately.  You feel like you have been really understood and listened to genuinely.  A real desire to relieve suffering and compassion is evident.
